Who they are

KFC employ 30,000+ people across Australia, with the majority in the 14 to 30 years age bracket. This makes them one of the largest employers of young people in the country.

Our work with them

We started working with KFC in 2019, initially completing an organisational psychosocial risk assessment and providing KFC with recommendations around improvements that could be made in this area. Chief amongst these was the need to have a more standardised approach to supporting team members experiencing distress. This led to us partnering with KFC to co-design the KFC Decision Tree. It is a safety process that provides consistency in how KFC supervisors and manage support staff members who are distressed.

Impact

The organisational assessment provided KFC with an understanding of their strengths and areas for improvement from a psychosocial risk perspective. They continue to apply the recommendations from it to improve the mental health and wellbeing of KFC team members across Australia.
