The Culture Series

The Culture Series helps organisations, teams and individuals achieve high wellbeing, high performance.

A practical guide for embedding the principles required to create a high wellbeing, high performance culture.

Productive change begins when you confront the brutal facts.

“Every good-to-great company faced significant adversity along the way to greatness, of one sort or another. … In every case, the management team responded with a powerful psychological duality. On the one hand, they stoically accepted the brutal facts of reality. On the other hand, they maintained an unwavering faith in the endgame, and a commitment to prevail as a great company despite the brutal facts. We came to call this duality the Stockdale Paradox.”

Jim Collins, excerpt from Good to Great

Stockdale Paradox: A message for uncertain times

Jim Collins shares the genesis of the Stockdale Paradox, and how its central concept – the stoic acceptance of realities coupled with an unwavering faith in eventual triumph – can be an effective approach for organisations in working through challenges.

About the Culture Series

The Culture Series is designed for:

  • Senior leaders who run organisations;

  • Teams at any level within the organisation; and

  • Individuals who want to be high performing team members.

The series can be offered as a complete solution, from the whole organisation to the individual, or you can select the programs that best meet your current needs.

The Culture Series draws on the theory of the Stockdale Paradox, as outlined in Jim Collin’s book Good to Great, whereby all great organisations faced the brutal facts of reality, while also maintaining that they would prevail in the end and become a great organisation.

By the end of the Culture Series you will:

  • Be in agreement about the future story of you (organisation, team or individual) at your best.

  • Have an agreed commitment to the actions and behaviours you require to get there.

  • Have a roadmap to get you there.

The Culture Series process

All programs in the Culture Series follow the same three-step process. This starts by writing the story of who you (organisation, team or individual) are at your best, and ends with the organisation, team or individual having a roadmap for how they can work towards achieving their best and continually living at their best.
